PADI Open Water Diver
PADI Open Water Diver is the first scuba certification level. A highly-trained PADI Instructor will teach you how to scuba dive in a relaxed, supportive learning environment.
By the end of the course, you'll have the skills and knowledge to dive at home or abroad and be an ambassador for the underwater world.

With Your Instructor:
Practice using scuba gear in a pool until you're comfortable. PADI training includes practice "mini dives" to help you build confidence in your new abilities before making four dives in open water.
Prerequisites:
Able to swim
medically fit for diving
Depth: expect shallow dives (12m/40ft), the maximum allowed depth is 18m/60ft

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
Learn about underwater navigation, deep diving and three types of specialty diving that interest you.
After some skill practice with your instructor, you'll make five open water dives. There's no exam because this course is truly about having fun and gaining experience.
Prerequisites:
Open Water Diver/Junior Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)
Total time commitment: 2-3 days
Depth: The maximum depth depends on your age, but maximum depth is up to 30 metres/100 feet
You'll study deep and navigation diving plus three specialties of your choosing.
We currently offer specialties of the following :-Coral Reef conservation, DSMB, underwater video , dry suit, fish ID, night (time of year depending), buoyancy, search and recovery, underwater naturalist and equipment specialty.

PADI Divemaster
Share your passion for scuba diving by becoming a PADI Divemaster. As a divemaster you’ll supervise scuba diving activities and assist with scuba classes. PADI Divemaster is the first rung on the professional divers ladder.

This is an excellent course for scuba divers, boat crew, lifeguards, freedivers, mermaids or anyone who spends time in and around water. No age restrictions or water sessions required.

Adaptive Techniques Specialty
PADI Professionals have a long and successful history of working with divers with disabilities. PADI's approach to diver education is (and always has been) inclusive: Everyone who meets a course's prerequisites is welcome to enroll. The PADI Adaptive Techniques Specialty course builds on that foundation by enhancing the training PADI Professionals receive, and preparing them for student-centered and prescriptive approaches when adapting techniques to meet diver needs.
Equipment Specialist
Don't miss a dive due to minor issues with your scuba diving equipment. Whether it's a missing o-ring, wetsuit tear or a broken fin strap, the PADI Equipment Specialist course teaches you to manage basic repairs and adjustments. You'll also learn more about how your gear works, making you more comfortable with it and better prepared to take care of your investment.
If you're at least 10 years old and certified as a PADI (Junior) Scuba Diver or higher, you can enroll in the Equipment Specialist course.

Scotland may be small in size but the coastline offers divers some of the most scenic and exciting dives in the world.
Gullies and archways are engulfed in soft corals with a plethora of life- anemones, lobsters, skate, dolphins, basking shark, seals, Minke whales and Orca grace these waters.
The world famous Scapa Flow is also located here if ship wreck diving interests you.
When you get your first certification as an open water diver, you are permitted to dive to a maximum depth of 18m/ 60ft. This depth is a safety precaution. You are encouraged to limit your depth as a beginner to allow you time to build experience and become familiar with best diving practices.
No, your certification will not expire. As an PADI Open Water Diver, your certification is good for life.
If you do not actively participate in scuba for an extended period of time however, it's a good idea to refresh your skills through the PADI ReActivate.
